Kariya Pod-husks: A Novel Biocatalyst in Biodiesel Production

Diverse challenges faced with the use of homogeneous catalysts in biodiesel production coupled interest converting waste resources to useful products solving occurring climatic and environmental around world have triggered research into various heterogeneous catalysts. In this study, catalytic properties kariya pod-husks were investigated examine their suitability production. Kariya ash calcined at 600oC for 4 h. morphological structure examination, scanning electron image shows that it has a more compact microstructure cluster big crystals but irregular pores which is an attribute high potentials. The elemental composition reveals contains higher percentage weight calcium (42%) potassium (31%) makes suitable catalyst developed was further used biodiesel. A yield 94% obtained. This study could catalyze It also helps proving biocatalyst solve associated separation from product stream consequently aids creation continuous chemical processes.
